the Tornados® featuring Dave Watts​​ authentic equipment , Ludwig drum kit, Fender guitars and a Clavioline showing film reels to relive the days at the infamous 304 Holloway Road. 1960's Tornado member Dave Watts , Symbols member Shaun Corrigan along with Pete Gill from The Rebounds, Tristan Long & Jamie Thurston reformed as "The Tornados" in 1962instrumental group The Tornados that had a world wide No 1 hit with " Telstar" in 57 countries.

 

What to expect

2 x 45 minute sets or 1 x 90 minute set of the Tornados hits, NOT only instrumentals as the Tornados are best known for but vocal classics that the Tornados featured on, Billy Fury, Heinz, Johnny Leyton plus many more...... with authentic equipment capturing the Joe Meek sound at his infamous recording studio at 304 Holloway Road London. Dave Watts- Keyboards Dave started his career studying at the London College of Music and Goldsmith University of London. Dave has played with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, David Bowie, Geno Wasghington's Ram Jam band, Arddvark, The Searchers, the Rebounds, the Midnight's, the Symbols, Goldie and the Gingerbreads, Screaming Lord Sutche's Savages, Cliff Richard, the Tornados, Heinz and the Wildboys, the Lions of Judia, Marty Wilde, Adam Faith, Billy Fury and various other stars. Was also a member of 'Affinity' a regular at Ronnie Scotts club. Dave was also featured in the film 'you Must Be Joking' starring Terry Thomas, Auther Lowe & Clive Dunn as a pop star, the film was produced by Michael Winner, he also played a German soldier in 'Bakers Half Dozen' a comedy series filmed in the late sixties & starred as Ricky Ticky Taylor in the 'Cherokees' Dave was associated closely with Joe Meek the inovative record producer who produced 'TELSTAR' by the Tornados in the early sixties, the first british band to have a number 1 in the US and Telstar was a hit in 57 countries.
