1 x Performer
Passionate about imparting her skills, Hazel runs aerial dance and acrobalance classes and workshops tailored to any age and ability, which makes them a perfect choice for school or university events, or any interested groups in a variety of skills, including ground-based Circus Skills and Dance Theatre. The most fun your teenagers will have doing exercise and a creative experience at the same time!
Both performances and workshops can be booked for your Norfolk venue or in a local space. If there are no in-house rig points, it is possible to use a portable aerial rig which can be used for indoor or outdoor performances and workshops. Adequate height for aerial performances is 5.5-10 metres. The minimum working height is 3.5 m, used for installation pieces, such as meet and greet sets. Hazel can perform solos or duets on the rig, and it can be put up at three different heights
A versatile performer, Hazel trained at The Arts Educational school, London Contemporary Dance School and Circus Maniacs, not to mention overseas study in Thailand and Cuba. She works as a freelance artist with theatre companies, street theatre companies and for corporate events.
Hazel is the founder and the artistic director of the groundbreaking contemporary circus company Zu Aerial Dance, founded in 2004. Outside of Zu, she continues to work as a freelance performer, choreographer and workshop facilitator. She has performed nationally and internationally with Zu, Gravity Levity, Scarabeus, Periplum and Expressive Feat.
